SSC/ELAC
The School Site Council (SSC) is a team of parents, teachers, school staff, and the principal working together to improve our school.
What We Do
-
Guide School Plans: We review and help shape the Academic Plan (SPSA) to set clear learning goals for our students.
-
Allocate Budget: We oversee the spending of specific state and federal funds to ensure resources go where students need them most—such as tutoring, technology, and classroom supplies.
-
Evaluate Progress: We monitor student achievement throughout the year to see what’s working and where we can improve.
Why Your Voice Matters
As a parent, you bring a unique perspective to how our school runs. Joining or attending SSC meetings gives you a direct seat at the table to ask questions, share ideas, and help make decisions that directly impact your child's education.
Meetings are open to all parents, and the agenda includes a time for public comment. Only elected members of the council may vote on agenda items. Check our calendar for upcoming dates and agendas.
English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is in an advisory role to the SSC. It is responsible for making recommendations to the SSC about activities to increase the achievement of EL students. The SSC receives the recommendations of ELAC and gives feedback as to those recommendations in an ongoing cycle of advisement and feedback.
