School Uniforms

In accordance to ARUSD Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5132, Linda Vista Elementary and all Alum Rock Union Elementary School District require students wear approved uniforms. Concerns regarding uniforms may be addressed in writing to the school principal.

Linda Vista is a uniform school.  All children are expected to wear their full uniform Monday through Friday, starting on the first day of school.  The last school day of the month will be designated as a non-uniform/free-dress day.  The Linda Vista uniform consists of:

Top (Shirt)

Bottom (Pants/Skirt)

Girls

White or blue (light, royal, or navy) polo shirt, blouse, or turtle neck.

Khaki, navy blue, or black pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumper.

Jeans are not allowed.

Boys

White or blue (light, royal, or navy) polo shirt or turtle neck.

Khaki, navy blue, or black pants or shorts.

Jeans are not allowed.

Optional

Both boys and girls may wear blue (light, royal, or navy) Linda Vista T-shirts.

Students must wear closed-toe shoes.  Sandals and Crocs are not safe or appropriate for school.  Hats, hoods, and beanies are allowed outside only.

Also, RED and BLUE are not allowed at Alum Rocks Middle Schools.  At Linda Vista, blue is allowed since our school colors are blue and white.  Linda Vista students should not wear red clothing, including on Free Dress Days.

Parent cooperation is essential in helping students meet these expectations, and your support is greatly appreciated. Our goal is for every student to 'dress for success.' If a student is out of uniform, we will contact parents to bring a change of clothes to the school. If you need assistance obtaining a uniform, please contact Ms. Kathy at kattya.nino@arusd.org or 408-928-7808.
