Meet the Administrators

Suzanne Cicala, Principal

Suzanne Cicala is an experienced teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator with over 25 years of educational experience.  Ms. Cicala was an elementary school principal for eight years in her previous district.  During that time, she established her school as one of the first Bay Area Leader in Me Schools, which received the recognition of Leader in Me Lighthouse Status and the 2020 Santa Clara County Hoffmann Award. 

Ms. Cicala believes in establishing shared values and high expectations, as well as, empowering students, parents and colleagues in leadership.  Ms. Cicala is passionate about the arts and believes that they are a critical component of a well-rounded education.  She is also highly dedicated to creating high-quality learning environments that develop the whole person and the greatest potential of every child. 

Ms. Cicala completed her M.A. in Education Administration and Supervision and her teaching credential at San Jose State University and received her B.A. in Dance from UCLA.  Ms. Cicala is also a National Board Certified Teacher.

La Toya Brown, Assistant Principal

Ms. Brown is thrilled to be part of this wonderful school community. With over 10 years in education, Ms. Brown has served as a Paraeducator, Special Education Teacher, Summer Bridge Coordinator, New Teacher Coach, Department Chair of Special Education, and most recently, as a Middle School Vice Principal for two years.

She is passionate about empowering young learners and ensuring every child has access to a supportive and inclusive education. She believes in celebrating cultural diversity and fostering a learning environment where all students feel valued and inspired.

Ms. Brown's academic background includes a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and an M.S. in Public Administration from San José State University. Additionally, she holds an M.A. in Special Education from the University of Phoenix and an Administrative Credential in School Leadership.
